Preparing for higher taxes : CPD webinar delivered by Tolley
Friday 4th November 2022 9.00am – 12.00pm
In our penultimate accredited CPD course of 2022, delivered in conjunction with leading training provider Tolley, we look at the outcome of the September mini-budget and the subsequent announcements.
The financial turmoil which followed the fiscal event on 23rd September demonstrated the need for governments to keep a tighter control of public finances. To that end, the newly appointed Chancellor of the Exchequer, Jeremy Hunt, reinstated the corporate tax rise to 25% that will take place on 1st April 2023. He also cancelled the reduction in the basic rate of tax.
This webinar reviews the changing fiscal environment and how to plan for the higher taxes which are seen to be required to reduce the fiscal gap.
The three-hour online session will cover:
- The September mini-budget, subsequent announcements and their consequences
- Corporation tax rises
- Draft legislation in Finance Bill 2023
- Tax reliefs increasing in scope and reducing in scope
- Compliance challenges
The webinar will also look at areas where it will be useful to discuss potential tax planning with your clients before the end of the tax year.
Aimed at professional advisers, the webinar is part of the K3 Hub training and events programme.
All our courses are free to attend and delegates qualify for three hours of structured CPD for the events delivered by Tolley on our behalf.
