Friday 4th September 2026 9.00am to 12.00pm
Our eighth accredited CPD course of 2026, delivered in conjunction with leading training provider Tolley, takes place on Friday 4th September.
The webinar will explore current and emerging accounting issues, regulatory developments, and the design and implementation of effective controls for SMEs.
The session will examine the skills required by accounting and audit practitioners, with particular focus on the now-active FRS 102 Sections 20 and 23 covering leases and revenue from contracts with customers.
Wider themes will include values and the use of language, and key IFRS developments, notably IFRS 18 which sets out the presentation and disclosure of information in financial statements and IFRS 19 relating to the disclosure requirements for subsidiaries without public accountability.
This three-hour course broadly covers:
- Ethics today – how do we tick all the boxes?
- The use of AI
- Internal controls for SMEs
- Anti-money laundering – replacing the SRA with the FCA
- Companies House – certainty on when and what to file?
- FRC – is audit regulation more settled?
- FRS 102 Sections 20 (leases) and 23 (revenue from contracts with customers)
- IFRS update
The event will take place virtually on Zoom. All our courses are free to attend and delegates qualify for three hours of structured CPD*.
*Please note, CPD not available if watching a recording of the webinar on demand.
